Membership Categories

There are different membership categories to suit different needs, from product practitioners and issuers, individuals graduated with tertiary qualifications in Islamic finance who may also wish to become a Fellow, those still studying or just starting out in their career, consulting and legal forms keen to be involved or keep abreast of the industry, to those who have been helping raise the awareness and benefits of Islamic finance to the community for many years, and finally those now retired but still actively supporting the Islamic Finance profession.

Corporate Members

Regulated via Australian Financial Services License, Australian Credit License or Corporate Authorised Representative and must have shariah certification/internal shariah boards for active products.

Membership Requirements

  • Extract of AFSL, ACL, CAR 
  • Copy of shariah certificate/charter of internal shariah board.
  • Multiple memberships are not offered if they do not satisfy the related party *policy.

  • Voting rights at AGM
  • Discounts on employees attending training courses
  • Logos prominent on the website and social media
  • Use of IFIA logo on websites
  • Attend meetings with government departments and roundtable discussions.
  • Priority attendance on all events and training.

Corporate Membership Cost

$2000 pa plus GST

 

Completed tertiary qualifications in a recognised course either domestic or abroad. Individual may upgrade to Fellow after 5 years of continuous membership

  • Certified copy of tertiary qualifications

  • IFIAF designation after 5 years continuous membership.
  • Priority attendance on all events and training.

Individual Membership Cost

$500pa or $1,200 for 3 years

Consultancies, legal practitioners or other organisations keen to practice or keep abreast of the industry.

Membership Requirements

  • Certificate of business registration or a letter by a partner/director requesting

Membership Benefits

  • IFIAS designation
  • Attend meetings with government departments and roundtable

Membership Cost

$2,000pa or $5,000 for 3 years

Individuals currently studying Islamic Finance or generally just interested in the industry as a whole

Membership Requirements

  • Record of enrolment if planning to upgrade to member.

Membership Cost

$500pa or $1200 for 3 years

These are individuals who have served the industry whether as board members, advocates for the industry published books on Islamic Finance, amongst other criteria which can be assessed by the board.
